Out of the Crib

Here is a quick update....Awhile back, when my Mom was watching Liana, she climbed out of the crib, with the rail up. She hadn't done it again until last week. She scared me by waking me up, standing by my bed. I started looking at big girl beds. This morning I was downstairs, after getting ready for work but before getting Liana up. I heard a little thump, and there she was in the hallway downstairs. So tonight I took her crib down and we made her crib mattress up on the floor in her room. She went to bed easily and so far so good! Now I have to really get into gear.

Liana is almost over her cold, which I acquired. She is pretty much back to normal.

Dec 21, 2007 Visiting Friends

We visited Julie and her family right before Christmas and had a wonderful time! Julie traveled to China with me. This is Mario and Liana playing the piano and singing. Liana is really belting it out!

Dec 10, 2007 Baking Cookies With Hannah

After my botched attempt to have a wonderful bonding experience with Liana baking cookies together, we headed off to Hannah's house to try again. Success!!! It helped that Hannahs' Mom had mixed the cookie dough, home made, and did the actual baking. Liana made the cookie shapes and decorated them. Hannah and Liana did a wonderful job!

First Snow/Ice of the Year.

These pictures were of our first real snow, but most of it was ice. We didn't build a snowman because it was mostly ice. She was in a good mood and I actually was able to take pictures of Liana actually SMILING! She was having fun making footprints in the snow/ice. Liana even make a face for the picture!

The Sophisticated Look?

My Mom stayed with us a couple of weeks ago. My Mom wears glasses, and I put the WalMart reading glasses to read a magazine. Liana had to have her "glasses" too!

Festival of Trees in Springfield

Liana and I went to the Festival of Trees in Springfield. There were many different trees that were done by different groups and schools that I think were put up for auction. Liana was very good about putting on the dress to go to the Festival of Trees. Once we were there and she saw the train, I was able to get cooperation to take the pictures using that incentive. After the train ride, I let her take a picture, then I took a few. It only lasted for a minute at time, but whatever works. She usually turns her head, so I have more pictures of the side/top/etc of her than I do of her face. Then no smiles.

Nov 1, 2007 Opening Birthday Presents from Mama

It was pretty hectic here around Liana's Birthday. We had the party a few days before her actual birthday. We were going to go out to eat with Hannah on her birthday, but Hannah got sick, then I had to work until 7p. So she opened my gifts to her later. We went out to eat tonight with Hannah and her family to a local Chinese Resteraunt. So you could say Liana celebrated her birthday pretty much all week!

Oct 28, 2007 Liana's 3rd Birthday Party

Here are some pictures of her Birthday Party. It was going to be just family...you know, keeping it small and simple. So that is why everyone wasn't invited to the party. Liana had a great time! She had Lilo and Stitch Cake and Cars Cupcakes. The balloons had Happy Birthday, and there was a Curious George balloon and a Dora Balloon.

Oct 28, 2007 Fall Festiville at Church

Liana had picked a dragon as her Halloween costume. She had worn it around the house several different times and showing it off to anyone who came over. She wore it to the Fall Festiville at Church. She had a great time! She loved the candy...and really got into the bouncy rooms they had. That being said...she wouldn't put it on for Halloween. I picked her up from daycare after I got off from work and we went directly to White Oaks Mall to eat dinner at McDonalds with Hannah and her family before we went trick or treating at the Mall. There was a person in a costume with her face partially covered that scared Liana...so she wouldn't put on her costume. He did eventually walk on her own and trick or treat the stores. She loved riding the little train at the mall! It was hard to get the girls off!

Oct 12, 2007 At the Apple Barn & Painting Pumpkins

We went to the Apple Barn to take pictures of the girls for Fall. Some pictures were taken at Hannah's house also. The girls painted pumpkins. They did a great job! I absolutely adore them!
